LEO GREEN PIONEER - HIGH-EFFICIENCY, LOW-EMISSIONS COAL-FIRED POWER GENERATION

2022.05.25

LEO consistently provides green pump solutions for carbon emission reduction, helping with a massive leap forward on path to #netzero, making our world a better place for everyone!

LEO GREEN PIONEER

Coal is the largest source of power globally and, given its wide availability and relatively low cost, it is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future.

To generate the same amount of electricity, a more efficient coal-fired unit will burn less fuel, emit less carbon, release less local air pollutants, consume less water and have a smaller footprint.

At this end of March, the first unit of Jiangxi Xinfeng Power Plant, which LEO participated in for the main hydraulic transportation, successfully completed its 168-hour full-load trial run and was officially put into commercial operation.

Jiangxi Xinfeng Power Plant

This is a major energy project supported by the China National Energy Administration. The total investment of the first phase is about 5 billion yuan, and two 660MW domestic supercritical clean coal-fired generating units will be built.

The project fills the gap of the grid in Southern Jiangxi Province lacking large-scale power supply, and provides a reliable, high-efficient and low-carbon power guarantee for Jiangxi's economic prosperity.

LEO PUMP SOLUTION for POWER PLANT

MAIN FORCE OF HYDRAULIC TRANSPORTATION

LEO provided Jiangxi Xinfeng Power Plant with our core product in the energy field: the 2200HLBK-25.7 Vertical Mixed Flow Pump, which with an outlet diameter of 2200mm, a single design flow rate of 11.52m³/s, a design head of 25.7m, a rotation speed of 370rpm, and a supporting power of 16P-3800kW.

What’s more, it adopts the excellent hydraulic model that LEO independently developed, and adopts a number of patented technologies in the overall structure, which can meet the high-efficiency and stable operation of the pump under different water levels and working conditions, and greatly helped with the completion of the 168-hour full-load trial operation!

LEO HELPS POWER PLANTS TO OPERATE WITH LOW CARBON

In application sectors such as large thermal power plants and nuclear power plants, circulating pumps are an important consumption point of energy.

LEO actively responds to world’s “Dual Carbon “goal, and independently develops high-efficiency and energy-saving products HLBK Vertical Mixed Flow Pump, which has the characteristics of high efficiency, good cavitation performance, advanced structure and long service life.

Its hydraulic design, structural design and manufacturing process have accumulated more than 20 national patents, helping large-scale water conservancy, thermal power, and nuclear power plants to operate with low carbon!
